Country kitchen with brass hardware, large island bench, and European-inspired dining area at our boutique farm stay in Dungog NSW

Grandma’s Farm

Welcome to Grandma’s Farm, a thoughtfully restored countryside escape in the township of Dungog, NSW, where slow living, European charm, and Australian country warmth come together.

This farmhouse has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It belonged to my grandmother, Betty — the woman who taught me the magic of noticing small details, tending to gardens with care, and finding beauty in simplicity. Today, I’ve restored her home with those same values in mind, blending vintage European pieces collected on my travels with modern comforts to create a stay that feels both deeply nostalgic and beautifully refined.

As a wedding photographer and artist who travels the world, I’ve always been inspired by the effortless elegance of Italian countryside living, the rustic romance of rural France, and the relaxed Australian lifestyle I grew up with. This farmhouse is a reflection of all of those influences: natural textures, aged brass details, soft linens, curated antiques, original artwork, open living spaces, and an atmosphere designed for slowing down.

Nestled just a short walk from Dungog’s cafés, whole-food stores, Tin Shed Brewery, pubs, galleries, bike-hire shops, and the best of our local country charm, the farmhouse is perfectly positioned for guests wanting a peaceful retreat with convenience at their doorstep. Whether you’re here for a wedding, a romantic escape, a creative getaway, or a weekend with friends, the property offers an inviting space to unwind.

Outside, the landscape opens to rolling hills, seasonal flower paddocks, and fresh country air. Our friendly ducks roam freely, and when they’re laying, guests are welcome to enjoy fresh eggs each morning. The open-air deck — one of the home’s most-loved features — overlooks sunset views that melt into fairy-floss skies and star-filled nights.

Every detail of this home has been created with intention:
A place to breathe.
A place to gather.
A place to feel inspired.
A place to feel at home.

If you’re dreaming of a Dungog farm stay, a peaceful escape in the Hunter Region, or boutique accommodation surrounded by nature, warmth, and thoughtful design — this farmhouse is waiting for you.
